THE ORIGIN
Originally conceived as Environman, the novella Green Army takes its name from the iconic green army men we once played with as kids. Ray Carson discovers one of these plastic toys embedded in the sand while running on the beach, and next thing he knows he's engulfed in a wave that takes him out to sea where adventure awaits.
THE INSPIRATION
The prospect of interspecies communication has always fascinated me, and as climate disruption reared its ugly head, the idea of working with other intelligent life on the planet to grapple with the challenges imposed by climate change sparked the genesis of Green Army.
